In October of 1991, Christo and Jeanne-Claude began work on two great art projects in Bakersfield, CA and Ibaraki, Japan. Over 3,100 umbrellas were set YELLOW (Bakersfield) and BLUE (IBARAKI)
My Dad took me to picnic under the umbrellas, thus creating one of the only truly great absurdist moments of my lifetime (this isn't to say I don't have daily moments of absurd...they just don't rank.)
A "souk," which is actually pronounced [sook], is an open air market, a place of trade, it is like a flea market in an Arab city. This blog is a sort of bazaar, a marketplace for ideas, thoughts, and concepts.
